The computed tomography (CT) research group focuses on the application of rapid imaging techniques using CT. A major focus of this group has been radiation dose reduction and image post processing. CT imaging researchers from radiology collaborate with departments across campus including cardiology, cardiac surgery, oncology, gastroenterology, gastrointestinal surgery, transplant surgery, hepatology, and biomedical engineering.
Feinberg Radiology’s research in CT research includes:
- Necrosis and iodine quantification in oncologic imaging
- CT dose reduction
- Imaging biomarkers using CT
- Cardiovascular CT applications
- Advanced image post processing techniques
