Fellowship-Trained Breast Radiologist
The Department of Radiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH) is seeking a 0.8 FTE to 1.0 FTE fellowship-trained breast radiologist to staff ambulatory breast imaging centers affiliated with the NMH Lynn Sage Comprehensive Breast Center (LSCBC).
The LSCBC is one of the largest, most advanced breast centers in the country. The main campus is housed in the highly regarded Prentice Women’s Hospital on the downtown Northwestern University Chicago campus. The women’s imaging section provides breast cancer screening, diagnostic and multidisciplinary care to patients with breast disease. Over 90,000 breast imaging studies and interventional procedures are performed each year, including MRI-guided biopsies. Both downtown and ambulatory centers are fully tomosynthesis capable and offer state-of-the-art ultrasound units. The section participates in multicenter clinical trials and research and development of new breast imaging technologies. A fellowship program in breast imaging is supported which includes seven fellows each year.
Responsibilities of the Breast Imaging Radiologist position include providing comprehensive breast imaging services utilizing tomosynthesis mammography, breast ultrasound, prone and upright tomosynthesis/stereotactic biopsies tables and 3T MRI machines. Additionally, the responsibilities include performing breast imaging interventional procedures including ultrasound and stereotactic/tomosynthesis guided biopsies, wire and seed localization of surgical cases and MRI guided breast biopsies.

Nuclear Medicine Faculty Position
The Department of Radiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is currently accepting applications for a full-time faculty position in the Division of Nuclear Medicine. Applicants should have an M.D. degree or equivalent and have an Illinois Medical license prior to the appointment start date. Candidates for this position must hold board certification in Diagnostic Radiology from the American Board of Radiology (ABR) and Nuclear Medicine from the American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) or subspeciality certification of Nuclear Radiology from the ABR. Academic rank at FSM and salary will be commensurate with experience.
Qualified candidates will have considerable expertise in all aspects of clinical nuclear medicine, including general nuclear medicine, therapy and hybrid molecular imaging (PET/CT, SPECT/CT and PET/MR).

Research Study Coordinator (Job ID: 51893)

Job Summary:
Manages daily operations of a biomedical and/or social-behavioral research study involving multidisciplinary teams of colleagues, sponsors and other external project stakeholders. Monitors study performance, analyzes and review results, and supervises development and implementation of new protocols. Assigns work and supervises study staff and reviews technical operations ensuring that all processes, protocols and procedures are quality controlled and functioning up to standards. Develops implements and administers budgets, grant and administrative procedures. May co-author scientific papers for presentation and publication and coordinates writing, submission and administration of grants. Ensures that all study activities are completed by strictly following Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and all current local, state, and federal laws, regulations, guidance, policy and procedure developed by the NU Institutional Review Board (IRB), Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), and the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH).
Specific Responsibilities:
Technical
- Leads execution and control of a biomedical &/or social science project or research study.
- Coordinates processing and analysis of data, conduct of experimental tests & procedures
- Develops newand/or revised research methodologies.
- Ensures completion of study activities per protocol including recruitment.
- Ascertains pretreatment and eligibility requirements.
- Obtains informed consent.
- Registers participant with appropriate sponsor.
- Interviews and obtains medical & social histories.
- Collects data from medical records.
- Administers, schedules and/or scores tests.
Administration
- Oversees and manages collection, maintenance, analysis and evaluation of data that will be used in grant submissions, presentations and publications.
- Ensures that information is entered correctly into databases.
- Assists PI in reviewing, analyzing, interpreting, summarizing, formatting, editing, and preparing tables, charts, graphs, progress and final reports, etc.
- Coordinates between sponsoring agencies, collaborating organizations and/or other research &/or educational institutions.
- Ensures that all study documents associated with current local, state, and federal regulatory guidelines, requirements, laws and research protocols are completed in a timely manner.
Finance
- Manages lab/study budget and inventory including purchasing of supplies and services ensuring that they are necessary, reasonable and project related.
- Orders and maintains inventory of study supplies.
- Distributes intra-departmental charges.
- Negotiates with vendors, obtain quotes and arrange for demos of large equipment.
Supervision
- Trains, directs, assigns duties to and supervises research staff, students, residents and/or fellows.
- Acts as a mentor in regard to education of junior coordinators.
Miscellaneous

Minimum Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as social or health science or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience and 3 years' research study or other relevant experience required; OR
- Successful completion of a full course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a master's or higher degree in a major such as social or health science or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience and 1 year research study or other relevant experience.
- Supervisory or project management experience required.
- Must complete NU's IRB CITI training before interacting with any participants and must re-certify every 3 years

Job Summary:
Conducts experimental research lab work and/or assists in design of one or more specific phase(s) of entire project(s) in the Laboratory for Neurovascular Imaging Technology and Translation (NITT). May complete mathematical calculations, and/or computer tasks and/or assist in judging validity of data. Follows appropriate protocols, policies, procedures, regulations, Good Clinical and Good Laboratory Practices.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Following protocols, designs, sets-up and conducts basic experiments.
- Analyzes and troubleshoots protocols and data obtained from individual experiments and recommends alternatives and suggestions to improve processes, validity and/or accuracy.
